The USA Beer Ratings event, which took place in San Francisco on July 21, 2019, the Revision Brewing Company earned the accolade ‘Brewery of the year’. Evaluated by a high-profile panel of judges, the brewery won seven other medals including gold and silver medals for their beer. Revision Red beer from the Revision Brewing Company was also honored as “Best Beer of the Year by Quality”.
Revision Brewing Company was started in March 2017. This brewing company was known for brewing highly attractive and delicious hop-forward beers brewed by the award-winning brewmaster Jeremy Warren and head brewer Jeb Taylor. Till the end of 2017, Revision Brewing Company already produced 5,615 barrels of beer.
Revision Brewing Company’s brewmaster and CEO comes from Knee Deep Brewing Company in CA that was originally founded in Sparks, Nevada. Warren is known for his wonderful IPAs, 2x IPAs, and 3x IPAs. Only a year after the opening of the brewery, the accolades started coming in. The brewery won a gold medal for Revision IPA in the American India Pale Ale Category and DIPA won the silver medal in the Imperial India Pale Ale category at a prestigious beer award in 2018. With many other awards at different beer competitions, the brewery also won 3 gold medals for its beers including Revision Red, Barrel-Aged Finite Madness, and Revision IPA. Its Citra Slam and Barrel-Aged Separation Stout also seized silver medals. The Revision Red, scoring top in quality criteria, named Best Beer of the Year by Quality.
The gold medal winner Russian IPA has low impact bitterness and high impact aroma and flavors. Simcoe hops provide a great hop foundation for this extremely delicious, flavorful and quaffable American India Pale Ale. Its flavors include citrus, orange, and pine meld seamlessly. It has 6.5% alcohol by volume and its International Bitterness Unit Scale is 50. It is available year-round in 22oz “Bomber” bottles, 12oz bottles, and 12oz cans.
Revision Red, the best beer of the year by quality and gold medal winner at 2019 USA Beer Ratings is made with British Maris Otter and Crystal malts combined with a dash of Amarillo hops. It makes Revision Red a malt-forward, smooth and refreshing brew which reflects a tasty blend of the Old World and New World. It contains 5% alcohol by volume and 30 IBU. Revision Red is available on tap at Revision Brewing Company taproom. The taproom offers its 5oz taster at $2.50, 16oz pint at $5.00, 32oz crowler at $8.00, and 2L growler at $15.00.
Barrel-Aged Finite Madness is aged in Woodford Reserve and Heaven Hill Barrels. It is velvety, viscous, and rich with dark chocolate and roasted coffee nuts, vanilla, caramel, and oak character. While Barrel-Aged Separation Stout combines notes of mocha and milk chocolate with delicate yet punchy bourbon character.
Citra Slam is an American IPA hopped exclusively with one and only Citra hop. It shows off tropical sweet hop flavors and aromas and ripe tangerine with an edge of passionfruit. It contains 6.5% alcohol by volume and 50 IBU (International Bitterness Unit Scale). Citra Slam is available on taproom at Revision Brewing Company. They offer 5oz taster for $2.50, 16oz draft for $5.00, 32oz crowler for $9.00, and 2L growler for $17.00.
